Portal Engine

Portal Engine [PE] is a Web tool for deploying B2B and R2C portals on the Internet. By using this Web Tool companies can dramatically reduce the development and deployment of their portals and it also leads to better manipulation and control over the production and maintenance of the portal. Portal Engine has been designed to cover the key inter-enterprise processes like Marketing, Catalogue Management, Order Fulfillment, and Settlement. 

PE has three main modules namely

       1. The Portal Builder 
       2. Portal Administrator and 
       3. Portal User. 

The portal builder as the name suggests is used to quickly set up the portal website using GUI based Wizards. Once the portal is built using the portal builder, one can use the portal administrator to administer and maintain the website. The portal user is the browser based end-user interface wherein one can experience the various features or facilities provided by the Portal Builder on the Portal.
