Education-On-Demand [EOD]
EOD is an intranet/internet based web tool by which corporates could quickly set up Web based education/training systems for their employees. This tool has three modules namely
- Net Developer
- Net Engine and
- Net Front.
The Net Developer is the module used by the course developer to quickly create course contents, question and answer banks using templates provided by the application from anywhere on the Web and deploy the same on the Designated Webserver remotely. Using the course outlining tool the course developer can quickly create a
few course by mixing and matching lot of previously generated course materials available on the Webserver archives, course directories and club it with some new material created by him.
The Net Engine is the resident program on the Web Server, which coordinates with all the remote Net Developer machines for receipt of course materials. It also keeps
track of all the registered learners/students with their course details, progress reports and security issues like course access etc.
The Net Front is the student/learner front end on a standard commercially available browsers. Using this downloadable module, one can browse thru available courses, take an evaluation test, register for a course and access his course, watch his progress report for a course, take course and chapter tests, collaborate with his course peers and his instructors or his course administrators for any questions or queries.
